WindhamWindham is a quiet and small town in New York, which has its name derived from it being referred to as “The Winy Hamlet”. It is known for having some of the best and most amazing hiking spots in the world. These trails are beautiful that they have been believed to inspire many painters and visual artists.

Nestled in the northern part of the Catskill Park, Windham is known for its three peaks all 4,000 feet high. But those who prefer not to scale these peaks may try other easier hiking trails. You can try to contact staff members of Mountain Top Historical Society for a series of easy to difficult hikes. Membership is not needed to avail of these courses.

As for lodging, a recommended place to stay in would be the Windham Mountain Inn, where you would be able to find a lot of diverse fun suitable for the whole family. Paris On A Budget And Having Fun Is Possible

Posted in Worldwide Travel Destinations  by admin on May 21st, 2008

ParisGoing to Paris on a budget does not mean that there shall be a shortage in the fun area. It is advised that comfortable shoes be worn because free leisurely strolls in the streets of Paris is already a worthwhile experience to begin with. Here are some tips to enjoy Paris on a budget:

      1. Off-peak seasons lower the price on basic commodities; Paris still charms people even if it’s not  summer—plus it’s less crowded.
      2. There are many low-budget hotels and they can be found online so it is good to start scouting as early as possible for great deals, especially off-peak seasons ones.
      3. Eat your biggest meal during lunchtime because it’s cheaper than the price of food during evening.
      4. Go around in trains. Take the cab only when it is absolutely necessary. If you are staying for several days, you can get a Carte Orange. This will allow you a 14-Euro unlimited travel on the Paris Metro.
      5. Church concerts are usually cheaper than those performances in music halls, but the quality is similar. Check the local listings for them in the newspapers. Avoid clubs in the weekend as they are crowded and expensive.
      6. The parks in Paris are one of the world’s best—you can absolutely enjoy having a picnic or go people-watching there for free.
      7. Take a hike in Paris. It’s an exercise that will be enjoyable.

Experience and enjoy Paris on a budget and remember these tips to stay on the budget.
