Enjoying The Best Of Hunter Mountain

Hunter MountainLooking for a pleasurable place to stay in the Catskills Mountains region in New York? Then Hunter Mountain should be one of your prime choices. It offers one of the best terrains in the area. Hunter Mountain is also very convenient since it is just a couple of hours away from the Big Apple. It is also popular for its usual snow conditions making it a skier?s mountain. It also appeals to those who want to party during weekends. Indeed Hunter Mountain is an ideal place to stay both for nature lovers and party goers.

For those who want to run during the morning try the Heuga Express, then go to the Racer?s Edge, and the Quad as their opening runs, before hitting the Upper and Lower K-27. In the afternoon, going to the east side would be more recommended. Try the Minya Konka then proceed to Lower Crossover. Those who are bold enough can try the tough side of the mountain such as the Claire?s Way and the Outer Limits. Then close the day by going to the Heuga Express and Drop Off before going back to your hotel. Both courses offer good skiing speeds as well as hairpin turns that have fast but relaxing rollers.

However make sure you don?t stay in the high noon, and stay away from the major quad until the afternoon. Take instead the triple, the F-lift to the summit, or mix both courses.

For travelers that have young children with them, then there is the Hunter?s Playcare that could take care of all children from 6 months to 6 years of age at $80 for the whole day. For those three-year-olds who want a go on the snow, they offer a half hour session. It would just be $35 for the lesson and the equipment rental. There are also on-snow programs available for those children 4 years old or over.

Try Breakfast Maggie?s Krooked Cafe where many of Hunter people dine in. Here you can try popular dishes in the area such as pancakes, muffins, omelets all of which are served all day.

For those in a budget can try Antiques & Cheese Cafe which is open for both lunch and dinner. It offers meatloaf and mashed potatoes coupled with hot mushroom gravy. The Scribner Hollow Lodge meanwhile is a good choice for those who want a more lavish dining experience.

Those who love the nightlife should try Apr?s where loud rock music is the staple. Lodging is also not a problem in Hunter. For those on a budget, the Hunter Inn is a good choice. It provides a good service as well as impressive accommodations but for less exorbitant prices. Those with money to spare can try Kaatskill Mountain Club which is one of the best places to stay in the area.
