However, since its inclusion in the European Union, the country has progressed considerably ? also significantly adding to the price you would have to pay to take a vacation there, particularly if you take into consideration the current state of the dollar against the euro. But don?t worry! With the tips included in this article, you can stay in Spain even without clearing your bank account.

For starters, let?s look at accommodations. There are available places to stay in Spain, if you?re not too picky about the facilities included in each room. You will only have to spend a minimum of 13 euros every night to stay in Salamanca?s Pension Barez.

Instead of opting for a hotel, you can run up a search for the words ?Pension? or ?Fonda? when looking for a place to stay. These are small businesses, usually run by a whole family, which offer a few rooms. Admittedly, there are places like these in seedy neighborhoods, but others can be found right in the center of commerce and in highly urban areas. When staying in these places, you might want to eat out instead, and the furnishings in your room may not be up to your expectations, but at least you will get a clean and decent (albet small) room, and you will be warmly received.
